Dear internet,

My name is Rachel, and I love writing. I have a B.A. in Communication and Digital Studies from the University of Mary Washington, and I work in healthcare. That’s the LinkedIn stuff covered.

In my free time, when I am not planning out stories in my head, I have several hobbies. These include: reading, listening to songs until I hate them, doing arts and crafts, spending time with my very handsome and funny partner and our wonderful families, trying to strategize how to ensure our cats do not wake us up at 4am, and occasionally baking white chocolate chip cookies with pretzel chunks instead of macadamia nuts. (Sorry, not sorry macadamia nut stans.)

I am creating this website as a portfolio of snippets, essays, short stories, and scribbles from the past few years. I reserve the right to remove them at any time as I become entirely too self conscious or choose to incorporate something into a larger, published project.
